Resolution 2026-05 road alignment

The former mayor said he isn't against development but asked whether the resolution is binding, whether Waldorf is obligated to build the road, how it affects creek drainage, and whether the public can use the street.

The adjacent property owner was glad the road moved off his land but worried it sits in the floodplain, adds curves and costs, and urged the council to require the road be built to state standards out of the floodplain before development starts.

A 35-year resident, he doesn't oppose the Waldorf but believes the road should stay on its current alignment, citing flood risk from creek fill and safety concerns where heavy Friendship Lane traffic would funnel onto Goehmann Lane near his home.
