Frederick Road thoroughfare alignment

The county commissioner urged the council to keep the Kimley Horn-recommended route, saying it's been the preferred route twice and has been in place for over 20 years.

The adjacent property owner said the thoroughfare crosses 5-6 acres of his land, but he supports the Kimley Horn route and knew about the right-of-way when he bought the property.

She asked the council to remove Alternative 3, saying it would harm generational Goehmann Lane residents and her historic Basse Block home, and that the burden should fall on the developer, not residents.

The P&Z commissioner urged keeping the planned route, saying every study has found it the best for connectivity and that abandoning it would forfeit legal right-of-way forever.
